Robert Echols
Robert Echols served as cocurator of the exhibition Tintoretto: Artist of Renaissance Venice (Venice and Washington, 2018–2019) and coeditor of the exhibition catalog. An attorney as well as an independent art historian and curator, he is the author of numerous articles on Tintoretto and other Venetian painters and a frequent contributor to museum and exhibition catalogs. His articles on the young Tintoretto are recognized as having redefined the topic. Echols has been part of the curatorial team on exhibitions at the National Gallery of Art, Washington; the Detroit Institute of Arts; the Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid; and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
