Richard Rand

Richard Rand is the associate director for collections at the J. Paul Getty Museum. He has published widely and organized a number of exhibitions on 17th- to 19th-century French art, including Intimate Encounters: Love and Domesticity in Eighteenth-Century France (1997), Jacques-Louis David: Empire to Exile (2005), and Claude Lorrain—The Painter as Draftsman: Drawings from the British Museum (2007).
