National Gallery of Art Library Image Collections and Archives
During my time as an intern, I had the opportunity to work in the National Gallery of Art Library as part of Image Collections during the summer of 2023. I was able to work on a project called the Dunlap Society, which is a collection of slides and photographs of American art and architecture. It inspired me to write a paper called “Architecture in View: The Dunlap Society Collection.” This semester I was able to work with National Gallery of Art Archives on various architectural drawings and photographs. Through these projects, I was able to gain a better understanding of the design and construction process of the National Gallery. I have also gained valuable insight into the workings of a museum. I am grateful for the opportunity to work on this project and for the invaluable lessons I have learned. It has been a pleasure working with such a talented and dedicated group of individuals.
