School Field Trip Request

Thank you for your interest in our School Field Trip program. Please check back on December 1 to request a tour for the Winter/Spring 2025 season.

We will offer a selection of in-person and virtual field trips (using Zoom) for fall 2024.

Requests for winter/spring field trips (January 6 – May 30, 2025) will be accepted from December 1, 2024 – April 5, 2025.

Things to Conisder Before Your Visit

Pre-Visit Information

Watch a video (grades 1-4) or download a presentation (grades 4-12) (PPT, 4MB) to show your students what to expect on their tour. Please review museum policies, location, parking, accessibility, security, lunch options, and other important visitor information.

Canceling or Changing a Tour?

To cancel or change a tour, please call (202) 842-6249 as soon as possible. Tour slots are limited, so if you need to cancel your tour, please let us know so we can make the tour slot available to other groups.

Self-Guided Groups

Teachers are welcome to guide their students through the museum independently. Please complete the self-guided group form at least four weeks prior to your visit. You will receive a poster for your classroom before your visit.
