Laura Napolitano

Laura Napolitano is an editor and writer. She is the former curator of the Carpenter Museum in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. She has contributed to scholarly publications at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and the National Gallery of Art. She has held curatorial positions at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Williams College Museum of Art, and the Bowdoin College Museum of Art. She received her doctorate in American art history from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her dissertation focuses on images of children by 19th-century genre painter Lilly Martin Spencer.
