National Gallery of Art to Close March 14

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to protect the health and safety of our staff, visitors, and volunteers, the National Gallery of Art, Washington, announces a temporary closure beginning Saturday, March 14, with a tentative reopening date of Saturday, April 4, 2020.

We will continue to assess our operating status as we receive updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the U.S. State Department regarding the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Changes to our operating status will be communicated via our website and social media.

While we are unable to serve our audiences in person, the Gallery invites visitors to explore the content on our website and social media platforms.
