The Patricia G. England Collection
April 3 – September 25, 1992
East Building, Study Center Library
This exhibition is no longer on view at the National Gallery.
In 1991 Patricia G. England generously presented the National Gallery of Art Library with a selection of more than 300 fine press and artists’ books from her collection. These works integrate text, illustration, and binding with often unconventional materials, embracing an artist’s unique vision or concept and blending various artistic disciplines in one creative process. The exhibition presented highlights from this gift in honor of Mrs. England and her husband, John.
Organization: The exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Art. Neal Turtell, executive librarian, and Lamia Doumato, reference librarian, were cocurators.
Passes: Admission is always free and passes are not required
