West Building, Main Floor, Lobby B
This exhibition is no longer on view at the National Gallery.
Overview: The painting by Morse had been purchased earlier in the year from Syracuse University on behalf of the Terra Museum of American Art in Evanston, Illinois, by Daniel J. Terra, ambassador-at-large for cultural affairs to President Ronald Reagan. This was a special one-picture exhibition, before the work returned to the Terra Museum.
