Overview: A group of 80 watercolors was selected by Edward Croft-Murray, keeper of prints and drawings at the British Museum. 79 were from the Turner bequest of over 18,000 drawings and watercolors at the British Museum. Croft-Murray prepared the annotated catalogue, wrote the introduction, and accompanied the works to the United States. The exhibition was organized and circulated by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.
