Biography

In 1863 Jakob Goldschmidt (1824-1864) established an antique dealership in Frankfurt. Four years later his brother Selig (1828-1896) joined him to create the Firm J & S Goldschmidt. After Jakob's death, his son Julius became partner and later, after Selig’s death, the sole owner of the firm. Julius died in 1932.
