Biography

Juliana was the eldest daughter and heir of Sir George Richard Philips, Bt., of Weston House, Warwickshire. On 23 March 1839, she married Adam Haldane-Duncan, 2nd Earl of Camperdown, 21st of Gleneagles and of Lundie. Her husband was a Member of Parliament for Southampton, Bath and Forfarshire, respectively (1837-1859). They had three children: Robert Adam Philips Haldane (3rd Earl), George Alexander Philips Haldane, (4th Earl), and Julia (married 4th Lord Abercromby).
