Biography

Henry Agar-Ellis succeeded his father as 2nd Baron Dover in 1833, and his grandfather as 3rd Viscount Clifden in 1836. In 1861, he married Eliza Horatia Frederica Seymour [d. 1896]; they had a son, Henry George (later 4th Viscount), and twin daughters, Lucia Georgiana Mary (who died very young) and Lilah Georgiana Augusta Constance.
