Biography

Madame de Polès' death can be found in a draft provenance in the NGA curatorial files. She appears to have been liquidating her collection in 1927; in addition to selling Woman Sewing to Wildenstein's, a large group of her objects was sold at the Galerie Georges Petit on 24 June 1927.
