Biography

Morris Schapiro was born 1882/1883 in Latvia, and emigrated to Boston in 1902. He was the founder of the Boston Metals Company in Baltimore. Over the years, this scrap metal company junked approximately 1500 ships. Schapire was the owner of the Laurel Race Course in Laurel, MD when died in 1969. He left a wife and two children.
