The Svensk-Franska represented the works of contemporary Swedish and French artists, including Léger, Picasso, and Braque, and also handled Old Master paintings via auctions. Gallery records housed at the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles detail the merger of the gallery with Galerie Bonnier, when leadership was assumed by Jan Runnqvist, son of Harry Runnqvist, a partner in Svensk-Franska. Upon the death of Harry in 1973, Jan closed the Svensk-Franska.
