Biography

Nephew of Pope Innocent XI, the Duke of Bracciano was named prince by Emperor Leopold I. Having no sons, Livio made his nephew Baldassarre Erba his lawful heir. Baldassare assumed the name Odescalchi-Erba, and had the Odescalchi palace, now a museum of coins and medals, built in Rome.
