Biography

George Preston Coleman was the son of Cynthia Beverely Tucker Coleman [1832-1908] and Charles Washington Coleman. His mother's uncle was John Randolph of Roanoke, a US Congressman whose portrait by Gilbert Stuart is now in the NGA (1940.1.9). His brother was Charles Washington Coleman [1862-1932].
