Coolidge, Catherine Boyer

Biography

Catherine was the granddaughter of Joseph [1747-1820] and Katherine Boyer Coolidge [1755-1829]. Joseph was the subject of two portraits by Gilbert Stuart, one of which is now in the National Gallery of Art (1940.1.3). The younger Catherine was married to Samuel Wyllys Pomeroy, and had seven children, among them a daughter, Clarissa Alsop Pomeroy [b. 1846].
