Remarks
“Lunch just over.—Rosenfeld, Duncan & I served Georgia.—On porch.—Like mid-summer. Roamed about the woods during the morning.—All of us feel ‘non-creative’—So we’re making it a sort of picnic day.—Lunch consisted of “Steero” bouillon with Zweibach—olives—asparagus—Crisp Bacon & Freshest of Eggs (Scrambled)—cherries (canned & reboiled)—Ginger Cake—& lots of fresh water—& butter of course. A meal for new lords. —” (Stieglitz to Elizabeth and Donald Davidson, 21 October 1920 [YCAL]).
