Gift 1917 from former students of E.F. Andrews [1835-1915] to the Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington;[1] acquired 2015 by the National Gallery of Art.

[1] Eliphalet Frazer Andrews was an American portrait painter who, at William Wilson Corcoran's request, established an art instruction curriculum at the Corcoran School of Art and served as its director from 1877 to 1902.
