Join us for an in-depth presentation on the relationship between bohíos—thatched-covered dwellings—and cities in the late 18th- and 19th-century Caribbean under Spanish colonial rule.

What do we learn when we approach this ephemeral architecture from the perspective of the city? What kinds of research would allow us to see the bohío as a residence, bought and sold, for aspiring urban dwellers? How might we recover their stories?
