Il Cinema Ritrovato On Tour

Il Cinema Ritrovato film festival, held annually in Bologna, Italy since 1986, celebrates recent restorations from all over the world, featuring all genres of classic titles, forgotten masterpieces, silent films, and other cinematic gems. This weekend, the National Gallery partners with the University of Maryland’s Italian program and program in Cinema and Media Studies, along with the Cineteca di Bologna film archive, to host two special programs from the most recent iteration of the film festival. For more information on associated events happening at the University of Maryland, please visit the Il Cinema Ritrovato On Tour 2023 website.
