Overview: 82 German drawings selected from the collection of the National Gallery of Art were shown in this installation, which complemented German Master Drawings from the Wolfgang Ratjen Collection, 1580–1900, on view at the same time. Together, the two exhibitions in adjacent galleries presented a comprehensive survey of five centuries of German draftsmanship.
Organization: The exhibition was organized by the National Gallery of Art. Andrew Robison, senior curator of prints and drawings, was curator.
