Louis-Robert de Cuvillon was born 29 February 1848 in Paris. He was a painter who worked in both oil and watercolor. He was a student of L. Leloir, and attended the the art school of Messieurs Dubufe, Mazerolles and Delaunay. He exhibited in the Paris Salon of 1874, showing landscapes, portraits, and architectural drawings. His work was sold in Paris in 1900, 1930 and 1942; as well as in New York in 1905.
