Hodgson, Robert Kirkman

Biography

A Justice of the Peace and Deputy Lieutenant in Kent, England, Robert Hodgson was the son of the Kirkman Daniel Hodgson, a member of Parliament, and his wife Frances, of Ashgrove, Sevenoaks, Kent. He was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge, receiving an M.A. degree in 1875. On 3 July of that year, he married Lady Honora Janet, 3rd daughter of Richard, 9th Earl of Cork and Orrery. They had five sons (two of which died in WWI) and a daughter.
