Biography

Mrs. Gordon was the wife of Adam Gordon, reputedly the illegitimate son of Jane Christie [d. 1824] by Alexander, 4th Duke of Gordon [1743-1827] (Christie became the Duke's second wife in 1820). After the death of Adam Gordon, Mrs. Gordon married a Mr. Reid. Her grandson was Major Duggan of Newton Garrie, Fochabers, Morayshire, Scotland [d. by 1918].
