Sir Christopher Willoughby was created a baronet on 8 December 1794. On 8 July 1776, he married Juliana, daughter of the Rev. John Burville. She died soon thereafter (on 20 April 1777), but had a daughter, also named Juliana. Willoughby commissioned George Romney to paint his daughter's portrait in 1781; she had numerous sittings from then up to April 1783. He married secondly on 19 January 1789 to Martha Evans; with her he had three sons and five more daughters. All three sons--Christopher William, Henry Pollard, and John Pollard--succeeded their father (and each other) as 2nd, 3rd and 4th Baronets, respectively.
