Barden assembled a large collection of prints, including 85 etchings by Dürer, as well as a number of Japanese objects d'art. After his death in 1917, his widow Agnes sold a portion of the collection. The remainder was given to the Victoria & Albert Museum and the British Museum after Agnes' death in the 1950s.
