Patrick Bringley worked for ten years as a guard in the galleries of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Prior to that, he worked in the editorial events office at The New Yorker magazine. All the Beauty in the World is his first book and has been praised by outlets including the The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, and the Associated Press, and has been named a best book of the year by the New York Public Library, NPR, the Financial Times, Audible, and the Sunday Times, which selected it as the outstanding art book of 2023. He lives with his wife and children in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
