DC’s cherry blossoms date back to a 1912 gift from the mayor of Tokyo. Celebrate this season with a performance of Japanese taiko drumming by Nen Daiko Ensemble.
About Nen Daiko Ensemble
Nen Daiko is the taiko ensemble of the Ekoji Buddhist Temple in Fairfax Station, Virginia, and has been performing in the Washington, DC, area since 1994. In 2023, the group brought the energy and artistry of taiko drumming to the region and beyond through 18 performances, including a feature at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival.
