A woman holding up an archery bow runs alongside a sleek dog in this free-standing, bronze sculpture. Some areas of the surface are shiny brown and others have a mint-green patina. In this photograph, the woman and dog run to our left. The woman’s hips are squared to our left but she turns her torso to face us, her arms outstretched as she twists her head to look over her back shoulder. She looks to our right almost in profile with almond-shaped eyes under thin, arched brows. She has a straight nose, and her full lips are closed. Her hair falls in stylized waves close to her head, and is gathered at the back of her neck. Held up at shoulder height, her right arm, to our left, is bent back at the elbow. She holds her fingers together, as if holding a missing arrow or the string of the bow. With her other arm extending to our right, she holds up a bow as tall as she is, also at shoulder height. A sash drapes over her shoulders, and the ends trail behind her. She has smooth, round breasts over the shallow indentations of her ribcage. Her hips and thighs are smooth, her left knee bent in front of her and her other leg extended behind her, in midstride with her toes pointed. The muscular dog also runs with legs outstretched to our left, and it turns its head back to our right. Sharp teeth line its parted jaws, and its tongue sticks out over its bottom lip. The neck, the back of the hind legs, and its pointed tail are covered in thick, stylized fur. A curling, plant-like shape beneath and behind the woman and dog connects them and supports their weight. The plant grows from a stepped, rectangular base, which is shown on a gray, rectangular pedestal against a gray wall.
