Biography

Braun worked in Nuremberg as a wax modeler and medalist between 1636 and 1674. Nineteen medals are ascribed to him and two of his wax models have survived. He married Anna Maria Pfründt (1642-1713) in 1659, who was also a wax modeler and medalist, and was daughter of the medalist Georg Pfründt.
